Do Smart Chicks trial their candidates?
All candidates regardless of if they are going into a private home or a nursery will be expected to have a full day's trial within a setting.
Do all Smart Chicks candidates (including nannies and babysitters) have references?
We will check all candidate backgrounds, including employment and personal references. We will also verify that any documentation the candidate has provided is authentic.
Do all Smart Chicks candidates have criminal record checks?

What is a CRB check
CRB stands for Criminal Records Bureau check for England, Wales and North Ireland.

What is a Disclosure Scotland check
Disclosure Scotland provide what is known as the PVG scheme, (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).

CRB and Disclosure Scotland checks allow public, private and voluntary sector organisations to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially involving children or vulnerable adults.
How does a candidate apply for a CRB or Disclosure Scotland check?
Smart Chicks will process a candidate's CRB / Disclosure Scotland application via a third party company. A fee will be charged for the application - please contact us for further details.
